About Liz
Liz is a local who has been involved in the Pakenham community for nearly two decades.
Is President of Pakenham & District Toy Library and volunteers with Paddy’s Kitchen (food relief). Previously she led young people in her Church, tutored for Cardinia U3A, ran a playgroup, Vice President of a local School Council and Kindergarten committee, advocated to Council for local footpaths and crossings.
Liz has worked as a Journalist, Social Planner, Researcher and Communications Adviser, with roles in local and state government, media and not-for-profit sectors; also provided business support to a family business.
Liz completed ‘Women Leading Locally’ governance training preparing her to be an independent Councillor to represent you.
She is a mum and a wife, raising her young family. Her children participate in the arts and Scouts.
Liz was awarded Cardinia Shire Citizen of the Year 2024 in January.
Liz holds an industry leading qualification in Community Engagement (IAP2) and is a member of the Institute of Community Directors Australia.
She completed an Interfaith Fellowship in 2014 to gain a greater understanding of the varied faith perspectives in the diverse outer South-East Region.
I have never been a member of a political party. I am independent. I will serve for all residents and ratepayers in Henty Ward.
